A stylized wave cresting against a pale cyan and cream sky — prussian blue holding the body of the water, white foam clawing forward, the curl about to break. The lines are bold, decorative, almost graphic. Not a painting of an ocean so much as the idea of one. Reads well on a tall wall. I tend to pair these with calmer pieces around them so the wave gets to do its work uninterrupted.
