A single black brushstroke arcing across warm cream paper. The brush was loaded heavy at the start and ran dry by the end — you can read the whole gesture in the trail it leaves behind. Wet ink at the top thickens into a confident curve, then thins out, breaks, and finally disappears altogether at the bottom of the canvas. One stroke. No corrections. The kind of painting you only get right when you stop trying.
